Is La Isla Dulce powered by the solar power?

Yes! La Isla Dulce is powered by 6 kilowatts of solar panels that provide power to a 15 kilowatt battery bank. We are not connected to an external power grid and are independent of any problems with local power cutting out. We have power all the time. In the event that we experience multiple cloudy days in a row and the solar input is not sufficient. we will run our back up generator for a short period of time in order to fully charge the batteries so that power continues to be available without interruption.
